I think there's a lot of people who claim native American blood who would really be surprised if they had their DNA checked. Due to advances in DNA research I believe it has now been (empirically) proven that there’s a direct correlation between skin pigmentation and errors in estimation of ancestry vs reality. The lighter the skin pigmentation, the more people overestimate European ancestry...the darker the skin pigmentation, the more people overestimate Native American and African ancestry.

Very cool photo J.P. Do you know what year that was? Don't know what year. That was my grandfather's parents on my mom's side. Not really on topic, but here's a photo of my grandmother's father at the general store in Josephine, TX. His father came here in a covered wagon. Can't remember if my great-grandfather was born when his father made the trip. That's him in the coveralls next to the guy in the suit. Way cool! I enjoy old historic photos like this. I have some great grandparent photos somewhere.
