There is a misconception that most Bassmaster and MLF Pros get everything for free. The "What's in the Bag?" Series is one MLF Pro Circuit Angler explaining what he is buying from stores and why, being 100% honest, transparent and not pushing or promoting sponsored products. In Episode 4, I show and discuss the tackle I recently bought from Tackle Addict near the dam at Sam Rayburn getting ready for the upcoming MLF Tournament at Lake Murray, SC. I am also restocking baits in my tackle boxes that broke or got lost at Smith Lake in the last event, as well as getting prepared for the chance that certain lures will be unavailable in the near future do to COVID and other events in the World.

I've been around you guys for years. Never understood why when you made it to the Elites that you were still paying entry fees. You guys are pro-level athletes and celebrities. Why are pro-level athletes that are making money for the company putting on the events required to pay an entry fee? Just never made sense to me.
And I've watched a lot of y'all get taken to the brink of bankruptcy or past "chasing the dream." Not Clark, but a few years back I had to loan one of the BASS guys $5000 to cover an Elite tournament entry fee. He was totally broke trying to make it happen. You can't fish and compete with that stuff on your mind.

Of course, being in the business does have its benefits. I have a closet where I put new rods. These are rods in plastic sleeves that I haven't opened much less paired with a reel. Was curious how many were in there and pulled them out for a count. There are 106. About $25-30k in rods.

JP got any 7' 2" med-heavy fast tip you'd part with. I recently came across a reel with no rod.
