Got out to Navarro Mills Thursday for a fix. Got on the water at 7:30 and off by 1:30. Wind picked up about noon. Water temp was 67 when I looked at around noon. Caught 26 keepers and about 10-12 dinks. Fish were all on brush and stake beds in 10-17 feet of water. I still haven't caught any shallow. Although I really haven't invested to much time there as there are plenty of fish in all the same locations as before. Biggest fish was 1lb 8oz. Most had eggs and only one with the really dark colors. I did catch one that looked to have spawned out as it was extremely skinny. I used a 1/4oz jig head in white with a Thump Buddy in white and chartreuse. If you got it close they would come to it. Fishing at NM is really good right now. Go get you some!

The crowds haven't left Aquilla yet, tons of folks still hitting it. fished Tawakoni 2 weeks in a row and it was as busy as I've seen it in over 20 years. Last trip to Aquilla was pretty good on and around brush in 16 fow, a few on shallow trees 2-5 fow. I've been tempted by NM just never gone. I'm sure I'll see you on Aquilla again soon, maybe a crowd shift.
