woke up and watching some BASS...and remembered heavy hitters is happening too! Started thinking about it, and it seems like the tournaments happen on the same weekends often......why?!?!?! LOL I figure itd be a smarter business decision to do them on different weeks so you have all the eyes on you...instead of making people choose which ones they want to watch on the same day (or bounce back and forth of course).

Does BASS or MLF release their schedule first and the other picks the same dates....or is it just working out that way?

Boyd did admit on BTL that it was a competition for business. Definitely one of those weeks where it can be easy for some to make a choice on which to watch.

theres the answer I was looking for, to see if its been addressed in any way out there. I get it he is competing against BASS after all...but man, for the viewer it sure would be nice to not have to bounce between them if you wanna catch both.

Now the question is....how do they stack on each other the way they do. Do they catch wind from moles/informant types that let the other know when theyre planning to schedule? I assume its not as easy logistically speaking as one dropping their schedule and the other setting up right on top of them...especially for how many tournaments are run/scheduled weekly nowadays. Or is it just like Dan mentioned....just bound to happen? Just seemed dumb to me from the consumer perspective

They addressed this extensively. Basically it came down to not scheduling on holidays and then permits allocated. It’s inevitable to not have some overlap.

Yes, these idiots could get together and work the overlaps out for the most part but they refuse. Duckett claims he has tried to get a line of communication with BASS about it but has been ignored. If you notice during the broadcasts MLF will talk about the Elite series because Cox also fishes it, on the other hand Bassmaster will refer to former FLW tour wins an angler with them has but not dare utter MLF, they just use the "another tournament organization" term. IMO its in BASS's court at this point.

yea its sounding more and more like thats just the case. we need a spring and a fall league!!! One of these organizations needs to think outside the box imo 🤷‍♂️
