Like many I had heard stories... Unsubstantiated.

DNA test says 1% Native American, 3% African, and 96% "White". English/Irish and Scandinavian.

A customer of mine found out he was part Indian when he was around 67 years old. Up to that point, he was your average mechanic/maintenance type of guy. The last time I saw him, he had a dang pony rail and a bunch of tortoise jewelry on and had quit his job and opened a BBQ joint called the Purple Pig just south of Tyler. Malcom is resting with the Sun God right now, but I have never in my life seen someone become so Indian so quick ever in my life. He was 6 for 8 and was as Roy d as he was tall.

I was a Cherokee chief according to family lore. I became politician and ran for President. Sadly, I did a DNA test and found out I was %100 Scandinavian, so I am now retired and fish for crappie.

My dad’s grandmother was 100% Cherokee. What does that make me—- 12.5%?

I'm a direct descendant of Mountain Man Jim Bridger. That means I got a little Injun in me.

Not eligible for BIA benefits.

Actually, eligible for all benefits, if she was on the rolls.
