So...go back to August I think. Kids caught a big green caterpillar. Stuck it in a jar and overnight it made a cocoon. So I bought a butterfly cage and stuck it in there. Fast forward to last night, basically 7 months later here it is. I took some pictures and let set the cage outside just now for it to go find a mate tonight. They do not have a mouth and only live for about a week living off whatever it has left in it in order to breed. This thread proves my theory - There’s a direct relationship between; 1) length of time spouse is away on deployment, and, 2) amount of interest invested in moths.
