My collection of reels is starting to grow and I am trying to best to not keep them on the rods except for when in use. While it is relatively easy to find Rod storage both for in home and on the road, I have had difficulty finding some form of bag or case to store my reels safely. While I am aware I could get something like a pelican case or other brands with the foam inserts I was wondering what others generally do for this?

I have more reels than rods so those not mounted on a rod are kept in their original box in the garage in my bait closet.

The reason I am asking, is I am a bank fisher and so I don't want to leave the reels attached to my rods when in the bed of my truck. I have sleeves over the rods, should I just look at getting some covers and keeping them attached then?

You can buy some cheap heavy duty tube socks. Use them as reel covers. They will help with scratches and dust.

That paper can scratch the finish on a reel.
