I had been at Lake Ridge High School since 9am yesterday morning with our Jr High dance team. I had been sitting on the bus all day except for leaving a couple of times to get something to eat. We left around 8:30 last night coming home. I was sitting at the red light on W Belt Line waiting to go across the overpass to head north on 67. All of a sudden I heard a loud noise, and a mustang or camaro or something flew by me on the left. I was in the left lane. I mean they were flying. They ran the red light and nailed another vehicle causing it to flip and spin around. Then here comes the police. Apparently it was a chase and he was determined not to get caught. Just hope the innocent people in the other vehicle wasn’t hurt too bad.

Crazy accident. This street racing is out of control and it appears, at least in Dallas, they have no real ability or interest in addressing it. We have not been in the office for a while but when we were I saw races daily on 75 nears loop 12. I am talking cars in and out of traffic going easily over 115.

The street racing shows on TV don't help much.

I’ve got a drive cam on the bus that I’m sure captured the whole thing. Only thing is you have to put in a request and reason to be ably to view it. It’s crazy how it works to view a video.

I saw a BAD wreck on 35E Northbound just south of the Frankford exit few weeks ago. Whole thing went down right in front of me. Guy came flying from the far left lane going 95+, cut across all 5 lanes and tried to make that exit. He did not make it! Not even close! Hit the butt cap or end of the concreate median deal that separated the on ramp from the freeway. Car got airborne went onto the on ramp where two cars just minding their own business nailed him in the driver side throwing the car back onto the freeway.

It was loud. Violent. And happened super fast but in my head it was slow motion.

When I got home I looked up what city I was in and called the Police in case they wanted a witness...not thinking they would care much. They cared big time! Officer working the accident called me back within 5 minutes and wanted me to make a statement on the phone.

He told me one of the people in one of the cars the on ramp that hit him was in serious and might not make it. The driver of the car caused this whole deal he was "Going to feel this one for a while, but he will live". Which shocked me I thought he would be dead as hard as the front of that car hit those walls and then the shots he took to the driver door.

The officer said "You know its funny. I am super glad you called... his story and yours are quite a bit different..." and then he laughed.

I'm confused about the comments about street racing. The op didn't say anything about racing. It was a single vehicle running from cops

The fastest NFL player I ever saw live, was Deion Sanders. Saw him run down a WR that had a 10 yard lead. When they say his speed couldn’t accurately be gauged with a stopwatch, I believe it. Seemed to be as fast as he needed to be, given the situation. Jaw dropping speed.

About 20 years ago when I lived in Seabrook, I was working the night shift. While driving home on Nasa Road 1 about 3am I came upon an accident involving 8-10 cars that had been racing. There was a stretch of road that was 3 lanes wide and straight for about a mile or so just before you got to the Hilton on Clear Lake. Cars were upside down on their side and in the median for about a 1/4 mile area. It looked like something you would see at a Nascar race in Daytona, except it was Camaro's, Corvette's and Mustangs. I thought I was halucinating at first, Then I heard the sirens of police and firetrucks coming. Never saw anything like it before or since.
