Vegetable...and that is the sweet potato.

Sweet potato, I just had you prepared like a regular baked potato...only butter, salt and pepper and you were fantastic. I apologize to you and your entire sweet potato community for what may come across as disrespect. It’s true that I don’t really ever think about you, and I don’t ever specifically order you. You’re kind of an afterthought...a “sorry but we’re out of regular potatoes” or a “we only have sweet potatoes”...etc. order for me.

I want you to know that every time I eat you, I realize how good you are and how I should make it a point to give you your own attention. I can’t promise I’ll do better, but I promise I will try. Thank you sweet potato for always being there for me...you are an outstanding vegetable!

smashed sweet taters

No sweet taters for me thank you. I hate the consistency of them and why in God's name would you put a layer of marshmellows on these things? Melted marshmellow is disgusting in its own right, but a bowl of that alone would still be better than those orange mushy roots.
