I bought a NRX 852 s which I love but the very tip of it broke. I want to get another in NRXbut they’re almost impossible to find. I also thought about moving to a con quest but I didn’t know how that compared to an NRX. It doesn’t have to be in an Shimano just wondered y’all thought.

Nothing better than a Loomis. If you can afford it I’d upgrade

Get online and print the warranty form out and send the rod to Gloomis. Their warranty Dept is great.

Sorry I should have explained better. I bought one at Scheels and it broke while fishing. Scheels said they would return my money bc they can't get another one for a long time. So I trying to decide between. Waiting to buy an NRX? Upgrade to conquest? Try a different brand. I loved that NRX.

Really confused. If I broke a rod after a week that cost $300 plus I would really re-evaluate.

GLoomis has a lifetime warranty. Whats the problem?

Okay let me explain again. I bought a NRX from Scheels. They are going to refund my money bc they said there is no way they can get me another one anytime soon. So I am trying to decide should just wait for who who's how long to get another NRX or should I buy a different rod? if I did buy a different rod I would want something in that category of sensitivity and lightness.

They will charge you to fix/replace it unless it was a manufacturing defect. I can't remember the fee but it's 100-150 bucks. Better than a new rod, but not cheap. You have to pay the shipping as well. Conquests are great.

Well I broke one in December and just got the replacement 3 weeks ago. There is defiantly a shortage.

I'd give it back to them and find one somewhere, also just to note, the Conquest is a different profile than NRX.

Well if you figure he paid $550 for the NRX and then you add another 100-150 for a replacement, you have now spent right at or more than the cost of a Conquest and since he is getting a refund then he could upgrade to the Conquest for the same amount as a replacement NRX.
