Over 1,000 items were confiscated, including several boxes of luxury designer goods such as high-end purses, caps, shoes and sunglasses.

What’s stuff like that doing at a flea market?
I’ve never gone to one, but I though it would be things like homemade picture frames and old fishing lures.

I was there once and a woman had taken leaves off her tree that had fallen and lacquered them.
Everyone was buying them and it cost the woman almost nothing to make them
She was making a boatload of money by using her brain

We haven't been there for several years.
For a long, long time what you mostly saw there were antiques, home-made items, and a few folks with small outside areas selling "garage -sale" type stuff.
Now there seems to be a huge presence of booths selling imported stuff from China, India, Mexico, etc. Lots of purses, ladies clothes, sunglasses, watches, etc. that would be easy places to sell counterfeit goods.
