Hello! Well just when I was about to get the Saltist Back Bay, the BG MQ is out....how does it compare to the back bay? Looking at the 3000 for flats fishing (or the 4000 back bay), but is it still a better reel than the BG MQ same size? At least in the 3000 series the BG MQ is .6 oz less and has more drag and more braid capacity...heck that been the case it seems yes the BG MQ is better!!! So what’s the advantage IF any of the back bay over the MQ? The body? The bail? Never used a Back bay so not sure how smooth they are...

Not sure about that particular reel but I will say I have 2 Diawa saltist conventionals and 1 6500 spinning reel and I absolutely love them. I have many other reels and lots that cost more but I always grab my saltists.
