Plano’s Flex System Gives Joe Balog An EDGE™

[Linked Image]

Joe Balog is a versatile angler, at home catching fish on the open water or through the ice, freshwater or salt. He looks to Plano for a tackle management system as adaptable as he is. “We have the ability with the Flex System to make the compartments unique for your personal gear,” the industry veteran explains. “Being flexible on the water allows you to adjust your technique to hook more fish, pivoting with the conditions.”

Taking advantage of rapidly changing patterns means carrying lots of lures. Plano’s EDGE™ Flex tackle storage system lets Balog take everything he needs without eating up all of the storage space on his boat. “Any time you look in your tackle box and see air, that’s wasted space where you’re not storing things.”

Joe arranges his swimbaits right alongside terminal tackle, taking advantage of the Flex Divider System. “It allows me to have part of the box for the real big stuff and part of the box for smaller stuff—instead of having two boxes.” There’s no wasted space, and all of his rigging supplies are right where he needs them—no digging through separate boxes to find the right hook. The recessed dividers ensure small items, like hooks and swivels, can’t wiggle their way into other compartments, so they’ll always be right where you left them.

“The Flex dividers allow me to create a custom box from scratch to fit my lures perfectly,” says Balog. Joe is confident that his baits are protected in the EDGE™ Flex tackle storage system, with a Dri-Loc® O-ring seal that keeps water out when closed. If any water hitches a ride in on a recently used bait, the reusable Water Wick™ packet absorbs any moisture before it can cause rust. The built-in Rustrictor™ technology delivers 360 degrees of rust-preventative protection that stands guard 24/7 to keep tackle performing at its peak.

“All of this fits in this waterproof box with a giant latch,” says the industry insider. That’s Joe Balog’s EDGE™. What’s yours?

The Plano EDGE™ features that Joe Balog counts on to be the most efficient are:
  • Flex Divider System allows anglers to customize the layout
  • Flex System includes (5) 4X dividers, (6) 3X dividers, (9) 2X dividers (18) 1X dividers
  • Water Wick™ divider with reusable moisture-wicking packet
  • Dri-Loc® O-ring seal maintains waterproofing when closed
  • Rustrictor™ technology delivers 360 degrees of rust-preventative protection
  • One-handed latch design
