In this jon boat to bass boat conversion, Ethan and I build a bass boat from an old 15ft aluminum v-hull jon boat. Today, we'll work to find leaks, carpet the front deck, and begin working on a subfloor.

*NOTE* This is my first time ever doing this so if you have any tips, advice, or ideas, leave a comment please!

If you haven't, look at my post in this section titled Old/New Tin Boat. I converted a 1958 14-foot aluminum runabout into a flats/poling skiff. I now have a Yamaha 15 4-stroke on it and it'll go 25 with just me in it. Fishes two OK, but super for one. Not for everyone, but I'm thrilled with the outcome. Good luck, and make some sawdust!
