Has anyone started seeing schools of glass minnows along the shorelines in either east or west Matagorda bays? This about that time of the year to fish those bait balls.

Haven't been down there this year, but I've had some stellar days in East Matty during past Aprils when the glass minnows were packed into the marsh. An easy tie -- a half dozen short pieces of pearl Krystal Flash tied on a #4 Gammy SC15 -- would drive the reds crazy. You're sure making me wish I had the time.........

We saw some in Aransas Pass not far off the main channel. I think we're a few weeks behind in terms of this type of activity due to the freeze.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like it might be a pass on fishing this weekend but maybe in a week or so I'll go out in the kayak to see myself.
