Sure looks like they owe you a refund. They probably didn’t want to honor it since it was sold at another store. Call and raise hell.

I buy all my tires for the last 5 years from a Hispanic man in terrell....new take offs....don't know where he gets them but I pay about 100$ per tire less than retail, mounted and balanced....always patches them free

I get all of my tires from Sam's Club and the Road Hazard covers replacing the tire for free. They rotate the tires and do flat repairs for free. No reason to go anywhere else.

I’m not sure, that’s so tricky wording they have there...they did give him a pro rated “refund” or discount on the new tire. Trickery!!! Replacement: Under the Road Hazard Warranty, if your tire is unusable due to a road hazard-related occurrence and can’t be repaired, Pep Boys will replace the unusable tire or give you a refund. Both tire replacement and the refund are subject to a pro-rated adjustment, based on the remaining usable tread on the damaged tire.

First thing I do with my vehicles when they're new is drive by and pay for the road hazard at Discount Tire. Like already stated above, they're great folks here too.

My boss tried to buy tires from P boys , he could not get the tires on sale if he didn't have them mounted there , he wanted them for a trailer , that was 50 miles away.

There is no reason to go anywhere other than discount tire, ever. Smartest thing you ever said. They are good, but not perfect. Some of their locations can be weird about trailers and also walking into the store carrying a tire on a rim in your hands and asking them to take off the old tire and put a new tire on the rim.

You can go to Discount Tire and they will sell you a road hazard warranty on those tires you didn't buy there, FYI... You beat me Yes, they will. If the tires have enough tread in them, they will sell you road hazard. I have done it before. Like I said, a momentary lapse of sanity.

A few years ago I bought 4 new Michelins at Discount Tire. I did not buy the road hazard. The next morning I got a piece of metal stuck into my sidewall. I went back to see what they could do. They replaced the tire for free because it was still under warranty. The guy said it had not been 24 hours yet and had warranty. Pretty cool of them.
