I was spit out at some now closed tavern in rural America...Arkansas, Missouri or Indiana? Some trucker brought me to Texas. (So maybe it was a truck stop and not a tavern) Regardless, after a start filled with such hardship, not even the most optimistic members of my family could have ever predicted I would go on to achieve an over 6k post count on the TFF. I love a good rags to riches story

What is your first pet’s name and where did your parents meet? Just curious bullet, german shepard that would leave a yellow trail straight to the parents bedroom any time someone knocked on the door. that was in amarillo in the 50s. pretty sure they met in a house of ill repute since dad was a sailor at the time. neither one of them would have made a good piano player either, just sayin.

I was born and raised in New York City. Just moved here a couple of months ago. Get a rope. I was born in Brooklyn and grew up on Long Island. Left there when I enlisted in the US Army back in '81 and never looked back. Retired in '01 and moved to San Angelo, been here ever since. Yankee. I was just joking. I’m not from New York.

Oak Park, Illinois. Great village to grow up in, but started getting more and more progressive about the time I moved to Texas, 40 years ago. Glad I left when I did. Ernest Hemingway was from Oak Park. Nice Hood! I lived in Park Ridge for almost a year. Nice too. Hillary grew up there, but it was still a nice place to live. My college roommate was from Park Ridge and a lot of the kids I went to college with came out of Chicago Catholic high schools and lived in places like Oak Park, Melrose Park, River Forest, Oak Brook, Winnetka, etc. This was back when Oak Park was decent, now it’s a dump.

I was born in Wichita Falls, TX. Moved to DFW at 14 the day before the big [censored] tornado destroyed Wichita. I never was out of Texas until I joined the Marine Corps at 18. After 8 years in the USMC I came right back to DFW.
