few seconds for a pic then release is no big deal if you keep them vertical, 4# and over should have both hands tho.
Agree; more than 5lbs.

Agree; more than 5lbs. if your arms were longer that fish would have weighed around 12#. just sayin.

Agree with comments above. At about the 4/5 lb mark you should be using two hands. Fish have a ton of variation just like people. Everything from bone density and ligament strength to the weight distribution of the fish is going to come into play. When in doubt, just use two hands.

I think it’s an issue for the really big bass. I don’t believe the dinks I catch have ongoing problems because I held them by the jaw. Yes, this. ^^^^^^
