90 percent of lithium batters come from 2 plants but are assembled in the US. Just make sure to have good insurance and back up battery’s when fishing out of town. Some will get low and require a special jump to get started or short out internally Serious question- Are the folks that have issues with lithium just not posting about it? I haven't seen or heard of a problem like those, nor experienced one myself in a couple years of ownership and heavy use. I have been blown away by my lithium set up and I had pretty high expectations to start with. There’s more issues then what most think. I have several people who’s batteries always went into sleep mode and never could get them come out. Lithium pros seem be most I’ve seen with issues or the only ones u hear about. I’m waiting on a boat and then deciding what to do. I’ve got a good deal on some to test out

Hmmm, seems the common denominator is the OWNER! Maybe they had a TM or other load that was on all the time, draining the battery? They will go into cut-off (you call sleep) when the voltage gets to a programmed low point. This is to protect the cells inside that battery case from damage. I'd be looking to see WHY those particular owners were consistently "breaking" batteries. I'm not a fan of the "leading brand" either, for a number of reasons, price being one of them.

A friend of mine just put ionic batteries in, 3 - 50 amp trolling motor batteries and one 125 amp starter battery..
We have used them about six times. After 8 to 9 hours on the water the trolling motor batteries are usually at about 65% and the starter battery at 75% the starter battery is running a 12 inch, a 9 inch and a live scope.
We are using a Minnkota charger, set to AGM. The batteries recharge in 4-5 hours. After they’re fully charged we unplug them and the charge stays at 100%.

That 65% charge level is why I don't consider 50AH batteries as big enough for some rigs & circumstances. As for a charge, the best way to confirm that is with a voltmeter reading compared to the battery specification. I don't have experience with the MinnKota chargers, but AGM profiles I've seen don't generally charge to 14.5V, the typical full charge for Lithium-Iron-Phosphate chemistry.

You may be correct. According to Drewcraft a Minn Kota Precision charger set to AGM will charge them to 100% According to blue tooth app that is precisely what is does. I suggest calling the people at Drewcraft. That is what we did and so far everything he told us has been correct. Tell him what kind of fishing you do and he will tell you what will work. My friend was more than willing to pay for bigger batteries, and they told us there was no reason to spend the extra money.
If having 65% of your battery available is not enough after 8 or 9 hours fishing, using to trolling motor 85% - 90% of the time, get bigger batteries if you believe that will work better for you.

They often have things like battery lugs "crimped" with regular mechanic pliers, under-gauge wire without tinned copper, maybe a few wire nuts, and an old charger meant for flooded cell lead acid batteries they hook up if they think about it before a trip.
