On water around 11am after church. Ran around for 2 hours looking for shad. Not in the late winter spots. Not in the early summer spots. Scattered. Finally found some running through deep creek channels, caught 6 gizzard, enough to fish.

Got anchored up around 1pm. It was on. Steady action from small up to a 13lb. Couldn't keep all 6 rods baited up. Was fun, everybody happy. Cut the bait small pieces, ran out after a couple hours.

Son! Look at that rod bend! They are feedin up for the spawn for sure. You find one you likely have found a bunch on those wind blown banks. I love seeing the littles get after em. Great times...

Your report is almost a carbon copy of our day Saturday. We were out a bit earlier. We did manage to catch bait in the marina though. But once we got up in the shallows out of the wind, we couldn't keep the rods baited fast enough. That is great when you have the kids with you.
