Going camping tmrw with my family. been on a year long skunk and have caught ZERO fish... I'm going to be fishing the south sulfur unit, and luckily the water level is high at cooper. any tips? I'll be fishing day and night and just wanna get some fish on the banks. don't mind if its bass, crappie, white bass, or hell, even a catfish. I just want some tug on the end of my line!! what lures/places should I fish? the water temp is still ~55 so I don't think the bass are spawning yet. I'm a bank fisherman since I'm a broke 14 y/o but I might manage to convince my dad to rent a kayak... hopefully my mom doesn't find out any help/tips are appreciated! would've loved to go to Eisenhower but couldn't find a suitable cabin there ;-;. Unfortunately, cooper while not being the best for fishing is the only one I could find suitable for camping this weekend, so cooper it is.

Send me an Email and I will send you screen shots of all the creek channel swings that get really close to shore. Be sure to let me know the exact location by sending me a screen shot of the area you are staying in. Go to Navionics - Nav. Apps. to do the shot. Email: fishnteacher@gmail.com

If you are dead set on staying on the South Shore we will make it work. The North side of the lake will have warmer water temps. for Bass fishing. Let me know what you thank. This is where I would stay on the North side at one of the two ramps if possible and using the yack work my way into the three major creek arms.

Google Earth Pro shows cabins here on the North Shore. There are also some access roads to get you closer to the coves where the fish will be. Let me know what you deside and send me an Email for the specific screen shots. The only problem with this area is the SE. Wind. It can be bad.

There is no cabins on the north side in Doctors Creek Unit. There's screen shelters. The area you have circled is a playground, and beach.

any of the points have white bass on them. just toss a white crappie jig out and bounce it along the bottom... you'll catch... a lot.
