disconnect both wires at pump and tape 'em up.. find any purple on tha motor.. should be one on starboard side.. maybe ona a plastic term block.. thats a "switched hot" tha will go ta positive term on pump.. ground/neg can go anywhere on tha block.. i always used a relay ta do this but there are lots out there without out a relay.. that keeps some of tha load off tha purple.. up ta you...

The fuel pump is constantly hot, ecu provides a ground to initiate the pump. I ran a ground wire with a waterproof toggle switch to the dash and those times that the ecu "forgets" to turn the pump on, I simply flip the switch and bingo. Normally I can flip the switch back off and it'll continue to run. Only issue if that you must remember to turn the toggle switch off when you shut it down because the pump will continue to run. Once you take the ecu out of the loop the pump will no longer cycle off when the required pressure is reached or the key is turned off. I have run this set up for 3 years now with zero issues.
