I drove over and fished Hamm Creek Park for the first time today. Since I was unfamiliar with that part of the river, I fished several different baits including earthworms, cut-bait and range cubes. I ended up with one bluegill and 2 carp. Both carp were caught on range cubes. I saw several carp and buffalo rolling. It was a nice area to fish. My only complaint was the heavy boat traffic including several wake boats the kept hanging me up when they passed.

Problem is the hoards of people moving here and with the populations growing, more traffic, and the lakes and rivers are limited.
I've noticed this on just the last few years the amount of traffic on the road where not many years ago it was light even on weekends, and now even weekdays are terrible.
The covid lockdown just introduced a lot of folks to our lake and rivers that normally wouldn't have noticed them.

Just one more cast!

Actually, the hook came out easy, but I needed cut-bait. bolt

I went back to the same spot this evening and didn’t get a bite.

Throw a 1 ounce slab at those wake boats! Put some treble hooks on to make it interesting!

I thought about it. roflmao But, I think they were just out trying to have a fun Easter weekend in their own way. It is amazing how much erosion the wake boats cause. On one pass about 2 feet of the bank on a point collapsed into the river.
