We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. Jesus paid the price for us all. Easter is the best holiday as it reminds us of eternity. Best thing you can do is pray for the Dems.

I can't imagine having any democrat relatives. I know they always have at least one family member that looks like this and I would end up making everyone cry.

Avoiding political discussions is part of why our country is divided. People want to talk at others about politics but not talk about it, or communicate. Right now it is considered uncouth to talk politics at church or amongst the family. Why is it uncouth to discuss a very important topic with the most basic support groups of society. Who benefits when families and churches dont function cohesively to lift others up? We are all involved in or affected by politics like it or not, and learning to discuss face to face respectfully is sorely needed. Go if you want, if politics comes up speak the truth in love on your part, focus on issues and not individuals. They may not treat you that way but if any of us are going to live the "love others as yourself" principle then it may as well start with you.

As far as the resurrection. God saw mans sinfulness and corruption and decided to act to deal with it rather than require men to be perfect first. He made the perfect sacrifice to deal with sins once and for all. By ones sins all are condemned and by ones death all have a chance to be made right. Your relitives first problem if they do not believe is needing the gospel, once they have that and accept it dealing with other issues like abortion takes on a different dynamic.

And this kind of issue/family dynamic is why I avoid religion...period. Which is really hard to do here on okie land....there are more churches here than you can count...almost as many as there are weed dispensaries. Except the churches are huge with acres of land around them.
