Are all Texas lakes windy? Seems like every time I go the wind is up to 15-20 mph each and every time. Always this way?

It only blows when you have time to go to the lake.

Only till air temps reach triple digits....then you can’t buy a breeze.

I was telling my wife the same thing, she said that I say it every year...I don’t know, seems worse this year and no rain in central/south Texas.

Seems to be pretty calm on Mondays and Wednesdays, Of course those are 2 days I can not get out. The wind doubles on Saturday and Sunday because I am off work.

No I agree with this. I got a tin rig so pay attention to the wind big time...its basically all I care about in the forecast. Only owned a boat a few years....but I dont remember so many consecutive days of the type of wind that keeps me off the water, with such small windows of it calming down. All last week was forecasted 15+ by 1 or 2pm, this weekend was good...but all next week is shaping up bad too! Im gonna end up going out on Wed because its only supposed to be around 15!

As I type this I checked out next weeks forecast....its better than last week! but yea...these winds have been a bitch for about a month out around me in El Paso. We are hitting 90s tho...so i guess Steez is right about it heating up and not being able to buy a breeze 🤦â€â™‚ï¸
