I was just reading on another subforum here that one guy's tournament day was cut short due to fuel line de lamination due to alcohol in the fuel. Several years ago I had the same issue and replaced the line with alcohol resistant fuel lines. Fast forward 3 years or so and the same issue rears it's ugly head again. Replaced line with equivalent size clear vinyl tubing and have had zero issues. Price of vinyl tubing is .42 cent/foot. It lasts about 3-4 years before becoming stiff, therefore I replace every 3-4 years at a cost of around $2.00. I use this on both my boats, 2 generators and a lawn mower with no issues whatsoever.

that was probably me with the bad fuel line. I would not use the clear vinyl, get some auto fuel line and use it.

news flash, fuel line liners have deteriorated and de laminated from inside fuel line long before alcohol was introduced to gasoline. i've seen it since the late 70's. but yup, i use automotive fuel line under the cowl and marine grade fuel line for exposed areas. auto fuel line usually doesn't have the uv light protection marine fuel line has

Just replaced mine, three years old "moonshine proof" was a lie.

Hey, just throwing out there. Been doing it for several years with no issues. Never been one to follow conventional wisdom. You do you and I'll do me (at a considerable savings)

They do not make a alcohol proof fuel line, only alcohol resistant. With today's fuels, the fuel line and other compliments should be replaced on a regular basis as regular maintenance items.

True indeed. I've found the clear vinyl line lasts as long as the alcohol resistant lines. It's part of my regular maintenance protocol to swap it out every 3 years, at the terrifying cost of nearly $3
