Can anyone tell me what the main differences are between the current Max and Endurance series .. specifically the 734c and the 735c?

I have a Powell Endurance 765c which is a great rod. Super light and great crisp action.

I have heard the Max blanks are a bit stiffer than the Endurance.

Anyway...I will be picking up the 734 and the 735 in either series....just looking for some feedback before I do.

Thanks!
Mike

The Endurance is a great rod but I like the Max 3D's better.

A week back, on a Sunday, I sent an e-mail to Powell's customer service to ask what current rod was like my 8-year old Powell Max 704C. I also commented that I hope they are using better guides, as almost all of mine have lost the inner ring, and have had to be replaced. Later that day, I got a reply from the Powell company President, saying that the current comparable rod would be an Endurance, but they would have to know more about my rod to designate an equal. He also directed me to their Warranty page and form, so I could send my 8-year old rod for free guide replacement! I was surprised and impressed with that offer, which I didn't follow up on. I rarely hear about customer care like that. I've used and abused mine, and it's still a good rod, and I didn't even buy it new! Might have to get another Powell rod . IslandJim
