I was curious because I have the 1.5 and 2.5 size squarebills but 95% of the time I see myself throwing the 1.5 size. At what point do you decide to jump up a size or even go to the 8.0 or something of that size? I guess on some of the local lakes its been easier to "match the hatch" with the 1.5 size and I do tend to get more bites and smaller fish. Anyways, what are you thoughts between the two and the deciding factors on which to throw

The bigger bait has to do with the size of bass in a lake & how deep I want my bait to run. Bigger baits run deeper.

Maybe because they are keeping it secret....but seems like 1.5s have cashed more tourney checks than 2.5s. Time and place for it im sure....but 95% of the time im grabbing a 1.5 over a 2.5. I dont see a 2.5 as a "big bait" and dont feel it will have that big bait draw that glides and other swims do. i think you should grab for it when you think more noise/louder thump is whats needed.

I suck at fishing tho 🤷‍♂️

I have caught more fish over 5 lbs on 1.5s than just about any other bait. I use the H2O version and buy them 10 at a time. I fish them until the bills are worn considerably. The whole point of a squarebill is to make it bounce off of something. For me it's usually rocks.
