Launched at Pace Bend collier cove ramp. No gate attendant on duty so no entrance fee, also noticed all the campsites were blocked off with a barricade, this would normally be a very busy time there with high demand for sites, but place was a ghost town. Hit some dock lights which are normally very productive in March and nothing was happening. Lost 1 Largemouth Bass right at the boat that would of been my personal best. No Crappie or Whites. Slow night on Travis and only saw 2 other boats on the water. Back to ramp and off the lake by 1130pm.

Thanks for the report. Don't see many Lake Travis reports here. I fish the same general area you mentioned. Action has been very slow for me since early December. Boat is currently out of commission due to freeze. Busted live well hose. Hopefully repaired for the better fishing action to come soon.

Alfred, Sorry to hear about your boat. I did not make it out last spring but the year prior it was red hot from February to April at the dock lights. I have fished in the area since around 2002 and have had many great nights and plenty that weren't. Wil give it another try in next couple of weeks.

Weekend before last, did catch a lot a small shad, in my light
but other than that, bait has been real scarce.

Got my boat back after freeze damage repaired and went fishing 2 April 10AM-1PM in the general area around Collier boat ramp. Caught 6 LMB with swimming shakey head jig/chartreuse grub combo and flipping Senko T-rig. Biggest was 13 inches--all were skinny. Also caught 3 crappie on small tube jig with crappie nibbles. Took two home for supper.

Water temp was around 62 deg in most places; didn't pay a lot of attention to this. It was windy and many other people were out fishing.
