 Like to fish East Tx. BUT

I like to fish East tx. But live West of Dallas it so getting thru there can be hard. 635 can be wild.

Use to drive from ABQ to Broaddus in Deep East Texas to go to my lake house on Rayburn. I-20 thru Dallas to Hwy 175 south thru Athens to Jacksonville, then Lufkin 103 to turn off FM1277 to Broaddus.
So I-20 is the best, 635 and I have been the other ways all are ugh!! If you go at 1-3am you can go just about any way thru Dallas, just FYI.

The drive on 175 from Athens to Jacksonville is one beautiful stretch of road.

My son lives in Fort Worth. The way listed above is the way I go Lufkin to Dallas. Best route I found.

Iād be willing to bet you are passing by one of the heaviest concentrations of double digit bass in the state with that route as well. The private waters off 175 are incredible.
