Hi ya'll! I'm qualified for the B.A.S.S Nation Kayak Series Championship from June 9th to 10th. Since I'm flying from canada, (I would be the first ever Canadian to compete in this event), I won't be able to bring my own kayak. So I really want to know if someone could rent me a rigged kayak or where could I find one?(With a trailer if possible) I would like to have it for 6-7 days ideally. I would have a rental truck to bring it with me. I'm gonna be staying in Mineral Wells for about a week before returning to Dallas to give it back and fly back to Canada. I need help please! FYI in June it'll be hot like fish grease down here (heat index should be in mid to upper 90's). You might make sure plan to you have plenty of water with you.

As a word of caution... don't overestimate the Smallies down here (especially in June). I'm from Missouri and even this "short" 600-mile trek to the south makes a HUGE difference in how Texas Smallies live. I can only imagine that this difference will be even more profound for you coming from our friendly neighbor to the north.

+1 on Mariner Sails. They are very decent folks. They might even "sponsor" you with a free/discounted rental if you wear their shirt, sport their stickers, give a shout-out in your tournament bio, etc. The owner is very hands-on. In fact, at one time one of his employees frequented this site. He still may be out there reading along?

I'm sure someone/some business will help you out in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. If worse comes to worse I've got a tournament ready paddling kayak with malone microsport trailer you can use, but I'm 2.5 hours from Dallas. No charge if it all comes back in same condition. Big charge if damaged or stolen. Private message me if you have any questions. If you can find another participant that will be coming through Jacksonville, Tx area, they might could pick it up and bring it back. All in good running condition. I tried to qualify for that tournament last year. Good Luck!
