I am pre-fishing for a late April tournament on Friday. I have never been to the lake. I have the boatlanes chip to run the lake. Is it hard to run from the villages ramp to the dam?

is there any part of the lake that is just trouble without local knowledge? any general advice on running the lake and where to find trouble would be appreciated.

the north end has claimed many a hull.

rock hard stumps await

Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.

Running towards the dam is much easier than going up north. Should be ok. Villages to the bridge has a lane, just assume its not clear at all outside that lane

If you want to place, don't go below the 155 bridge! Be sure to stay out of the middle of the lake above the bridge, hang to the east and west shores, follow your lanes as mentioned above, and you should be okay

Book a day with Tom Mayne to show you around. He's been on that lake for years and is good people.

we just had a tournament and 4 of the 5 top sacks came from the south.. Big fish was over 8 lbs... and the winning sack was 15 lbs and we are a 3 fish limit. They are still moving up to spawn down south..Saw a couple of big ones but they were not ready...

Don’t believe that south stuff. Guys just trying to keep ya off the north end. The salinity level is getting higher coming out of Saline creek. Bass can’t live south of the 155 bridge anymore
