Wayne definitely has it dialed in! I remember his posts on BBC, and always knowledgeable...and of course amazing screenshots!

I primarily bass fish, so was thinking the 360 would show me stuff to cast at below the surface out away from boat kinda like side imaging would. Am I thinking correct?

Thanks for keeping this going while I was out! LOL seems like we are both at the edge of the cliff and debating jumping or not 🤔 let me know if you end up pulling the trigger. If I end up doing it itll be closer to the end of the year so I can save up some ducats for it.

I have both, M360 and LiveScope mounted on Rite Hite turret. Different tools completely. M360 is my choice in shallow water finding cover. LiveScope does a better job of showing a fish in the cover. M360 can show me an offshore brush pile. LiveScope can show me my A Rig as it approaches the brush pile and allows me to lift A rig over brush pile rather than crash into brush pile and get snagged. Rite Hite turret allows me to track A rig when spot locked. M360 shows me a suspended fish in water column, LiveScope shows fish at exact depth and how fish reacts to my jerk bait or swim bait.

very nice comparisons! sounding like the 360 is the move!

Edit:
Im running the fishingspecialties downrod system on my front ducer because I SI a lot on the bow...and SI and a always rotating "cheap [censored]" trolling motor while spot locked (MK powerdrive) dont play well together. Figured a separate rod in the water would give me the clearest returns and it definitely has!

The one advantage of this approach is it allows you to focus on gaining confidence in baits you typically don't throw and get the opportunity to cast where you can locate fish.

Which one would you choose if you could only have one? The 360 or the Livescope? I , was considering 360 only...

thumbYUP, YUP, YUP!! ABSOLUTELY. 360 TO FIND IT. LIVE SCOPE TO SEE IF FISH ARE AROUND. Not an expert by any means, but I have caught fish by locating trees, brush piles, etc with the 360, then exploring around to see if there are fish present. It becomes addicting, then it becomes a video game.

And that video game will change fishing forever, and not in a good way!

Livescoping for suspended fish.

Drive to a deep open water area.

Turn range up.

Turn trolling motor on high.

Look for a big blob.

Cast at blob.

*repeat*

360 is a novelty to me. I had mega 360 and busted a transducer and never replaced it. It was a piece of mind to know what I was fishing but I can honestly say it never helped me catch more fish. Livescope has changed the game forever. Bass fishing is going to be completely unrecognizable very soon. Look at what has happened to crappie fishing...

Depends on your preferred fishing style. If you prefer a slower presentation such as worm / jig fishing 360. If your style prefers covering lots of water LS.

I'm still learning my Mega 360, but so far it has been great at finding laydowns offshore and occasionally fish on the structure. Right after I got it I followed a school of fish on a roadbed, it was pretty cool. Overall I like it and use it every trip. LS is not in my budget in the foreseeable future, but maybe I will win the lottery.
