 Metanium or aldebaran to pair with sarge rod?

Hey all, looking to upgrade baitcasters on my sarge (medium light) and trying to decide whether to go with the aldebaran 30 mgl or the new metanium. Anyone have any experience? Only fish inshore in the west/east Galveston Bay Area.
Trying to figure out if I should get the lightest set up (aldebaran) or if the upgrades in the metanium are worth the xtra weight. Thanks!
