She was "right where" she was supposed to be. This lake has kicked me enough that I just have to crow a little when it decides to smile on me.

My photographer ( my grandson - who actually reeled in this fish after I hooked her) hasn't learned the technique of disguising the background ! But to be honest- there are no
secrets" anymore .

Nice fish! I'm jealous. Spent most of the day Friday in Indian Creek (all the way to the bridge) and we could only muster one chunky 4lb'r (not shallow) and a 5lb drum (very shallow). Both were caught on the same lure-a chatterbait. The 4lb'r was full of eggs. Saw maybe 10 boats total in Indian and didn't see anyone else catch anything. We tried squarebills, jerkbaits, senkos, and the chatterbait. Boat ride back to Jordan was brutal in the wind/waves. Kind of long run where you find a loose screw on the back deck and wonder where it came from.
