Doing some maintanance on 2oo Merc.Pulled prop off, checking for line on shaft & changed lL.U. lube. what do i torque prop shaft nut down to. Thanksfor info cheers

I thought it was dependent on prop type and hub. When I had a Tempest balanced and blueprinted by Steve he said to torque it to 90. 75 is about what Powertech recommended.

Way back in the rubber hub days, one of the most respected propeller techs we know of was a proponent for as much torque as you can apply many years ago.

Today we think tight enough that you feel good tension works well for all motors.
We estimate that around 95-100 ft. pounds.

rubber hub props are around 75 ft lbs
flo torque hubs without the forward bushing are 55 ft lbs
flo torque hubs WITH the forward bushing are 100 ft lbs

fish thanks for all the info, ido believe my hub is rubber/ Tempest plus prop.
