The Cup cars look pretty good on the dirt instead of in it. Practice is shaping up for a good race Sunday.

Back on the fence again wondering if this is a good move. Trucks just went out for final practice and ran 1 lap. Most trucks got covered in an inch of wet mud. Windshields totally covered. Harvick said that's the most scared he's ever been in a race vehicle. Hoping all make it through the weekend. I'm thinking more than once we'll see some hook and barrel roll. I sure hope not.

I don’t like it. Too contrived and too many variables. It was a good try, but I just don’t see it working. Put the Cup drivers in real dirt cars, not cup cars on a dirt track.

Since sr passed it took a big hit that opened up season tickets for bristol one of the hardest tickets to get in all of sport. i held season tickets 2002-2010, and brought changes to the points system. Then jr retired and they lost more fans and is getting worse every year. this is why you see dirt at bristol they need tv ratings and fans. Think you will see more changes in the future. There used to be only 2 road courses now there are 5, one in austin tx the most liberal city in texas at the circuit of the americas. You have to change with the times if you wanna survive.

This is what NASCAR has become. In an effort to increase interest, they came up with an idea of putting heavy, 200 mph stock cars on a temporary dirt track and it has backfired. What about more short tracks? There are a lot of old short tracks that NASCAR abandoned whey they fell in love with mile and a half BORING tracks. They have picked up a couple of road courses, but there are a lot of historic road courses still out there. The sport is suffering, and all they can do is a dirt race in Bristol. Humpy Wheeler is probably laughing to himself.

I think the crowds got to big for some of the good old short tracks. The whole nascar becoming woke is what killed it for me.
