This question seems to come up a lot when I work various events and if you use Lowrance or Simrad equipment there is a free utility available that most will find very handy. The CMAP Embark App is available online as well as embedded in the Lowrance and Simrad mobile apps. Setup a free account and on your Lowrance or Simrad with WiFi connectivity you can keep your waypoints backed up to the cloud and manage them on your computer or mobile device.
https://letsembark.io/core/mapTo sync your device go to Settings/Features and then Synchronize Data....enter the same username and login you used for your account. Connect your display to WiFi and choose Sync Now.
Login on your computer and you'll see all your waypoints and trails, it's that simple.
BTW the free app also has decent depth contours and other features for lakes and coastal areas, easy to use as well.
