Are the Googan baits and rods really as good as the reviews read or is that mainly fan boys

I am not a fan boy, but their hard baits I think are fine and compete well with other brand name baits. I just think the price point is slightly higher than that of say a strike king which is why I don't typically buy them. However, in my exposure to their hard baits, I have no issues with them.

Personally I think they are a bunch of @sshatz but they have a heck of a following by the younger crowd which to me is a great thing. Their getting kids off the streets and into fishing.

I have caught some nice fish on the Bandito Bug but your lucky to get one fish out of them before they tear up

I highly doubt googan is getting kids off the streets and into fishing. LOL

The soft baits are very good IMO, hard baits are not bad, but I prefer other brands on hard baits.

I hate the clam shell packing they use, the only bait I'll ever buy from them is the rattlin ned and rattlin crackin craw.

Their baits are comparable, they make really soft plastics which tends to make them fall apart easier... reminds me a little of yamamoto baits (something lunkers used a lot of in the beginning and where i think they got that idea)

I also like the bandito bug. It's a good soft plastic. The only one of their hard baits I have used is their square bill. Someone gave me a few. I absolutely hated their square bill. Its alot like the 6th sense square bills which I also don't care for. 3 to one hangups over the strike king, xcite, yozuri baits. I know it's personal preference but that's my experience.

The faster they fall apart the more people have to go buy if they are convinced its getting them more bites. However, that is a double edged sword.

The soft plastics are rebrands from the same factory that makes Strike King.
