Looking for a good Crankbait rod for 5xd & 6xd and one for 8xd & 10xd. Trying to stay in the $150 range. Let me know what y’all think are my best options.

I’m using bass pro crankin stick 7’6” mag heavy for 6xd. Will throw 5xd as well. 6th sense 8’0 heavy Lux series for 8xd 10xd. Been very happy with both.

Powell offers different price levels, material types, length ranges and lure weight actions that will serve your needs and meet your budget. Good luck on your search and eventual catching success.

For a 6xd I throw a BPS crankin stick. For 8 and 10xds I have a Falcon Lowrider and a 13 Fishing Omen Black 3 7'11. Only 13 Fishing rod I own, but have no complains.

Thanks for the mentions. I would love to get the kistler but out of my price range right now. I’ll look into the others.

Their glass composite Inferno is a killer crankbait rod...not the fanciest...but fancy enough to really keep those crankbait fish pegged.

I think of 8XDs and 10XDs as deep diving treble hooked hard swimbaits. So I use an irod genesis 2 swimbait rod designed for 1-4oz treble hooked swimbaits. Nice parabolic action for casting and setting treble hooks Also use it for big treble hooked topwaters and 1-4oz treble hooked swimbaits. Very versatile rod. A joy to fish with and just under $150
