I see lots of ignorance on the road. One that I encounter a lot is drivers who don’t understand right of way at intersections. We have several busy intersections in school zones that get backed up far worse than they should during the school traffic hours. Four way stop, four lane divided roadways each directions. People will stop and lock up the intersection waiting for the oncoming driver to turn left in front of them. Sometimes they flash their high beams; sometimes they just sit and wait. After a long delay the “courteous” driver goes, and before the left turner, who properly waited his turn to proceed can do so, the side traffic goes. Inversely, many of the left turners think that they have the right of way, and cut off the approaching driver, often flashing lights, honking horn, and displaying the universal gesture of disrespect. I had one cut me off flashing and honking, and when I stopped him he told me I didn’t know the law and he had the right of way.

If these chuckleheads would live up to their responsibility and learn the rules, traffic would flow much better.

And to clarify the turning posts: turning right you must turn from the right lane into the right lane. If there are multiple turn lanes, stay within your lane. Turning left, you turn from the left lane to any lane legally available. If there are multiple turn lanes, stay within your lane. I frequently see drivers pull up in a through lane next to a driver in the left turn lane at a light. When the light turns green, both turn left. Instant road rage. Just a lack of maturity, in reality. And illegal. For some reason it happens more and more frequently around here.

We will now have generations of drivers that learned how to drive online instead of from a retired drill sergeant like we did.
Thank goodness many of their computer vehicles will drive on autopilot.

When flipping off another driver, don't use both hands. One finger will convey the message. Keep one hand on the steering wheel.

"Bikes have the right of way"?

I'm not sure about that, and I AM an avid bike rider.
However, I "choose" to ride where there is no traffic and do everything I can to avoid traffic. If I find myself riding to a destination spot, but I have to "engage car/truck drivers along the way," I give the right of way always.
* I know for a fact, despite my "bike rights," I cannot compete with a motor vehicle, therefore I yield to them for safety!

Has this been mentioned?

4. While at stop lights or stop signs, stay off your "8*^$^%GE)!@#" cell phones! When the light turns green, gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Using a turn signal is not a sign of weakness.

Knowing how to properly Yield to traffic is a lost art. People think the yield sign means force your car into traffic at any speed.

I give my vote for #4, nothing is more aggravating than to be in heavy traffic at a light and someone wasting time on their phone! I honked at a girl for doing this once, she glanced up in the rear view mirror, then continued set there and finish her text!
