The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be having our annual Open Tournament Saturday April 24th on Lake Ray Hubbard. Here is the information -

• When: Saturday April 24th
• Where: Lake Ray Hubbard - Chandlers Landing Marina Ramp - $10.00 Reduced Launch fee
• Time: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Registration: 5:00 - 6:15 AM
• Entry Fee: $100.00 per boat - 2 person maximum

This tournament is open to everyone. Big bass is included in your entry fee. Chandlers is giving us a reduced launch fee of $10.00. If you are going to launch there. we will collect it when you register and give you a slip for your window. Registration will be at the ramp starting at 5:00 on Saturday morning. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. You will need to to turn your chip in by placing it on the board to get your fish weighed. You will get your live well checked and a ribbon tied on to your trolling motor which must remain there until weigh in. You can then launch or trailer and go to your spot. No lines in the water until 6:30. Lines out at 3:00. There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give participants time to get off the water, and the TD's time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back on the board with the Tournament Director by 3:30. Weigh in will start at that time on the patio at Chandlers. If your chip is not on the board at the specified time, a 1 pound per minute penalty will be assessed. After 15 minutes your catch will be marked as 0. You will be called to the scales by boat number. Leave your fish in the live well until your number is called! Keep the water treated and your fish healthy! See you at the ramp!

Some big bags and fish being caught on the Tuesday nighter. We're two weeks away!

Don't forget guys, If you are launching there at Chandlers, you pay us for that when you register. It's a reduced fee of $10 and we will pay Chandlers at the end of the day. We will hand out numbered cards at registration that need to be turned in before you weigh your fish. All will be explained on the morning of. One week away!

Rain is supposed to clear out by Friday night. Saturday looks warm and windy, Come out and join us!

A reminder! Sapphire Bay Marina (used to be called Bayview) is an off limits area! it has been buoyed off because of the wind damage a few weeks ago and we understand the Game Wardens are writing tickets if you go in there. Fishing in that area is cause for disqualification. See you in the morning!

40 boats came out yesterday. Our winners were Adam Vesely and John Melby with an outstanding bag of 21.15. Big bass of the tournament went to Jeremy Williams and Steve McClendon with an 8.16 giant. Full results and pictures will be posted this week. Thanks to everyone that came out!
