Conway Twitty because when he was young a woman he loved dumped him.
She said he would never amount to anything and left

I like the artists from the 1950's, and '60's. Hank Williams, Hank Snow, Hank Thompson, and Ernest Tubbs to mention a few. Every decade after that, seems like C&W music got progressively worse. The one stand-out exception would be Jeff Boomhauer.

Oh yeah, really catchy tune fun to sing along. My Dad loved this movie and the song always reminds me of him.

MERCY - not receiving what you deserve
GRACE - receiving what you don't deserve
America's MESS = God's miracle fixes
I'd rather walk with God with no questions answered than to walk thru life without Him and know the answers

It's true. If you listen to these modern "country" singers live nearly all of them wouldn't sound like their recordings. Too much autotune. And they don't even sound country to begin with, its all pop garbage pretending to be country. (For reference I am talking about these newer singers from the 2000s and beyond.)

Their is some truth in this
I like a lot of country artists from different years and sounds.
I saw Garth in Vegas a few years back he came out on the same age in a sweat shirt and a chair by himself and he sang country, rock, and soul

I know some love him and hate him but his song the dance is one of my favorite all time songs

Their are great artists from all decades in my opinion
