Should have a wave of females spawning. If you like skinny water crappie fishing, I'd bet those big females will move up in the shallow to lay eggs under the moonlight and slide back out after sunrise but that's just a guess

Slab slayer! Motivational! What technique did you use? Wading jigging the shallows, slip cork, vertical jogging?
You ain’t gonna catch any sittin’ on the couch.

Slab slayer! Motivational! What technique did you use? Wading jigging the shallows, slip cork, vertical jogging? Vertical shallow from 3 ft to 6 inches hold it in there be patient. Mostly deep brushy banks brush tops and thorny areas. Also log jams. Once you find them on a certain bank pound it like no other. Had to work for them though I havnt seen a trip yet where they are all right on the banks kinda scattered but they are in creeks. Also think outside the box for lay overs and brush in the middle of the creeks.

look 👀 for calm smooth water in turns but again deep steep banks is the ticket for me right now. Look for the ugliest top in the creeks logs laying in a creek stick and move till you find them then pound that area. Good luck. I’m not going back out for a week or so till weather gets warm and right and by then I think there is one last run of the spawn I may bewrong as it’s getting close to being done I think. Then I will hit my timber and brush along with plastic condos.
