Does anybody think a person could raise crappie in an aquarium, or big cattle trough and get a decent size to them. I can get them at about 6-8 inches right now, and wondering if it would be possible. I would only put 3 or 4 in to start with, and once they get big enough to eat, EAT them.

You probably could but it would take a lot of time and money. Crappie have to eat a lot to put on weight. Unless you’re catching your own minnows and stuff it to feed them it would be a hassle and get expensive quick

Most fish will never reach their size potential if the aquarium size is too small. They will grow to a point and then just stop growing.
Also, I'd want to make sure you had very frequent water changes to keep a fish safe to eat.
