Man, the last couple of trips to Decker had been tough. I'm tossing what I think I should be tossing, but one fish to show for it. I did see a guide today running several places over the lake with clients so maybe its not me.

Any of y'all doing GOOD?

I didn't lose him at the boat. I shook him off cause I didn't want my hands to get "fishy"

LD, I was there 2 weeks ago, we did pretty good, the rigger had 18lbs , I had 16lbs. DS right next to the reeds with a Zoom finesse Redbug. Later on in the day, being the back seater I use a ZM finesse grn/ pump with a 1/16oz tungsten weight on a TR. Dragging it across the top of the grass about 3 to 6' from reeds. We were fishing the reeds on the east end of the lake.

LD, we need to go out there together one of these days. I looked for you a week ago Sunday on the 14th. Wrecked em pretty good on jerk baits and senkos. I caught 15 or 16. No big ones. Close to 4 was the biggest, but most were pretty solid 2 - 3 pounders. Fishing out in front of the points in 4'-8' of water for the jerkbait. The senko bite was making looong casts and letting it sit for 10 - 15 seconds. When they hit it they smacked it good.

Please post a report, if nothing else, about Stillhouse. I would really like to know if the hydrilla is still thick and how its fishing. Thanks!

decker 3-26 - white spinner over grass 7FOW produced hard hitting males with several short strikes as well, crawfish colored wacky worms against reeds produced lots of spawned fish

bastrop 3-27 - green with yellow spike it baby brush hog or 5" lizard mostly in 2-5FOW produced 25 fish ranging in size, but normal bastrop fish, no big 'uns. nothing deeper than 7FOW was caught by us at least.

will let you know about stillhouse if i make it out. (got chores to do apparently!)

LD,
My fishing buddy and his wife fished Decker yesterday. Same pattern as two weeks ago, DS against the reeds, Zoom finesse, Redbug. She had 18lbs and he had 12lbs From now on I am going with her. lol
PS: keep up the great reports on where you are fishing. Like Rayzor interested in SH.
