Having trouble with a very old trolling motor. Would likely help if I was smarter.

I have a 12/24 old Motorguide, 2 batteries and a connection cable.

Two wires coming from the Trolling Motor have thin blue lines.

I can get my 12v to run but not the 24v option

This is for my second boat, a pontoon that I cant see which wires.

I have both wires with a thin blue line running to one battery ans the two without to the other.
I have the “jumper” cable running from one positive to the other negative.

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks
Ryan

The answer is always yes to golf or fishing.

Some of the old 12/24 volt trolling motors had a switch that controlled the 24v.
