Anyone own an Xpress Bay boat? Looking for input on the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks!

First question for any decision on a boat is what bay are you fishing? That dictates your next choice

Thanks Pat. Will be used within the bays near Rockport/Corpus area. Plus Amistad, Choke, Falcon lakes for bass/catfishing. Had a look at them at the boat show. Just looking for feedback from anyone who owns/has experience with Xpress... pros/cons, how they perform, etc.

I used to sell them. Quality build, they cut some corners on a saltwater ready build. Customer service has always been a challenge.
Are you looking for a tunnel to run the bays?

Yes, the one that peaked my interest is a 22ft tunnel (think maybe it called a simi V hull?) with a 175 Yamaha. I am a bit concerned that the center console is screwed down vs bolted down (screws back out over time)... very much open to any suggestions/recommendations in that general ball park... Thank you!

I'm not going to tell you the express is a bad boat, it's not. But...experience says if you're going to run a boat in saltwater, get a boat built for it. By people who understand the difference. If I was in the market for a new aluminum, my list would include: Scandy White Boatright Empire 5th lake. These are all quality builders who build for saltwater use.
