I have Saturday and Sunday to put my kids on some crappie. Did Eagle Mountain Lake at Indian Creek yesterday and we only caught a couple small ones. Can fish from a boat or kayak. Any tips within an hour or so of DFW are appreciated!

Get in creeks they are there if not on banks work brush tops out from banks. Look for structure in the middle of the creeks, stick and move. Try grass beds. Also timber in channels in mouth of coves and creeks. Start north end of the lake or possibly mid lake as itโ€™s hammer time as SK would say. Go get em.

We found a few under the highway bridge at Buck Creek. It was windy as hell but we managed to pull some in. Had crappie for dinner last night.
