This is the biggest striper I’ve ever seen seen in person. 33” long with a 27” girth. She got her picture taken and was released right back into Whitney where she came from. This fish fell for a Heavy Glow Thump Daddy on a one ounce chartreuse ball jighead. I am incredibly thankful I got to be the guide who shared this memory with the Kennedy family! Hey thanks guys!! I’m not sure on the exact weight, as we just got a length and weight measurement, but I would assume it was around the 20lb mark, give or take a couple pounds either way.

Wow, what a beautiful fish. That would put a smile on my face too. Based on the length, the fish should be 15 to 17 pounds. However, that is a fatty, so I agree with your weight estimate. Great job all around.

I don’t know if this helps in the weight guessing, but that’s a 65lb Chessie trying to get a taste test in the bottom picture.
